Nigel Rogers

Head of Airworthiness

Nigel’s career in aviation began in 1981 as a Craft Apprentice with British Aerospace. Qualifying as an Aircraft Fitter, Nigel worked in aircraft production prior to becoming a Production Supervisor. After moving to British Airways and spending over 10 years as a certifying engineer, Nigel joined Flying Colours Airlines during its transition to JMC Airlines, which eventually became Thomas Cook Airlines. Nigel fulfilled roles in Line Maintenance, Maintrol, Maintenance Liaison, Technical Services, spending a number of years as Technical Manager before progressing to General Manager Quality and Safety for the Group Maintenance Organisation, and finally Head of Airworthiness for Thomas Cook Airlines.

During his career Nigel has held several different Post Holder positions and is keen on Continuing Professional Development. Nigel has qualifications in Management, Safety Management and Quality Auditing and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
